·      Take an active approach to the legislative process by discussing selected bills, presenting

       our stance to the Governor, and meeting with our own Senators to learn about ways they

        can impact legislation.

·      Support civic engagement by participating in Youth Academy for Democracy event.

·      Served as the vice-president of the Builders Club.

·      Promoted civic engagement by organizing local events and supporting community causes.

 

Norfolk Youth Leadership Council                                                                                                                    May 2012—June 2015

·      Discussed local issues involving youth, and sought ways in which we can improve such issues.

·      Helped pick-up trash around the community on Earth Day.

 

Nebraska Cornhusker Girls State                                                                                                                                           June 2014

·      Developed knowledge to become an active and informed citizen by listening to professionals speak about their experience in politics and/or government.

Campus Ministry                                                                                                                                              Sept. 2013 – Sept. 2014

·      Organized and led multiple class retreats within my high school as a member of campus ministry.

·      Led high school freshmen in their faith at Jesus Christ Camp.   

                                

Religious Experience                                                                                                                                             July 2013 – July 2014

·      Led young adults in their faith at a weekend-long retreat, TEC (Teens Encounter Christ), through organizing events          and giving a talk.

·      Coordinated and led high school-age students in preparation for the Catholic youth conference, Steubenville, on            the Youth Core Team.
